Valerie Morignat, PhD is a DataEthics4All Top 100 DIET Champion 2021 and a Member of the DataEthics4All Think Tank Community. She is the Founder & CEO of Intelligent Story, a San Francisco-based consulting firm. Dr. Valérie Morignat is a global AI expert, design leader, professor, and author with cross-functional experience in business, government, and academia. As a Tenured Associate Professor of Cinema and Interactive Arts (Maître de Conférences, University of Montpellier) in France, Dr. Morignat produced pioneering research work on VR/AR and cinematic arts (Sorbonne-CNRS), and spearheaded the development of post-digital aesthetics studies. In 2011, Dr. Valérie Morignat founded an agency centered on inclusive digital innovation in the South Pacific. She was commissioned to serve as a Government-appointed Innovation Strategy Principal Consultant, advising the President and the Minister for Public Finance and Digital Economy. She devised forward-leaning public policy reforms supportive of digital innovation and cultural inclusiveness, built international strategic partnerships, engineered $MM education projects, and transferred high-value technology to the public sector. She is a Founding Editorial Board Member of the Springer Journal of AI & Ethics and a contributing expert to the IEEE Global Initiative on Ethics of Autonomous and Intelligent Systems.
