Shilpi Agarwal, a passionate data philanthropist and influential pioneer in the realm of tech ethics and data privacy, holds the role of Founder and CEO of the DataEthics4All Foundation. This organization aims to cultivate a new generation of leaders who prioritize ethical considerations in their work with data and AI.

With a solid foundation in technology, backed by an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from the National Institute of Technology and a graduate degree in Design from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IITB), Shilpi combines technical acuity with a keen eye for design thinking.

Before her groundbreaking work with DataEthics4All Foundation, Shilpi imparted her wisdom and passion as an Adjunct Faculty member at prestigious institutions such as the Stanford University and the University of California, Berkeley. She also serves as a mentor for the MIT $100K Entrepreneurship Competition, showcasing her commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurial spirit.

Shilpi’s exceptional contributions to the tech industry and society at large have not gone unnoticed. Her dedication to volunteering earned her the esteemed President’s Volunteer Service Award. Moreover, she was a finalist for the Women Leaders in Data and AI Award in 2022, demonstrating her significant impact in these domains. Adding to her accolades, she is an exclusive member of the World Economic Forum’s Responsible Use of Technology Initiative, and an AI Ambassador for the Deeplearning.AI Community, founded by Andrew Ng. 

She’s a sought out speaker and influencer who is regularly invited to Keynote, speak and write on Data and AI Ethics for a wide variety of audiences including the U.S. Department of Defense, the California Department of Education and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
