Maddy Hoekstra.

Maddy Hoekstra is member of the DataEthics4All AI Youth Council leading social media outreach. She's currently a junior at High School. She is the Founder and President of Toys for Shelter Animals, Vice President of Best Buddies, and Treasurer for Community Companions. Maddy is passionate about all things STEM, including technology, chemistry and biology. She loves to teach molecular biology, chemistry and anatomy to children as well as reading to elementary schoolers. Maddy is a member of the National Honor Society, California Scholarship Federation, Science National Honor Society, and Biomedical Engineering Society. She is ecstatic to be a part of DataEthics4All, where she can grow and learn more about AI to help eliminate bias in today’s society. One of Maddy’s goals is to spread awareness to both her peers and future generations to come.
