00:00  Hi I’m Ronak I’m Sara, Hi I’m Druthi, I’m Josephine, I’m Siyona and I’m Rohil and we are the data ethics for all AI youth council at data ethics for all our mission is to raise awareness on the ethical use of data to build the next generation of inclusive AI and also be a catalyst in building a more equitable, culture-rich inclusive, just and ethical society.  To foster this mission we have many programs ranging from the free STEM tutoring program to mentoring, career guidance, technical education, and our policy ethics and technology for youth otherwise known as PET for Youth and we also have much more.

00:47   our foremost goal is to empower and inform today’s youth about AI and ethics and technology in order to ensure a better and more sustainable future, through our free stem tutoring program we have pledged not only to provide free stem homework help to five million students nationwide in the next five years but our hope is to help them fall in love with the subject and we need your help. 

01:11  with all the pleasures and gadgets in our society now it’s nearly impossible  to reach out to our current youth  generation  we need a way to communicate with youth  that would satisfy their limited  attention span  we seek an arsenal of tutors on hand as  we are trying to support five million  five million students in five years we  started on this journey with a fantastic  team of youth tutors  our current issue is that volunteers  have limited time to offer as opposed to  dedicated staff  this raises the problem of tutor  continuity and relationship building  with the students 

01:38  we still lack the capacity and funding to administer background checks in order to keep our students safe and reach our intended group of underprivileged and economically disadvantaged students and communities navsgrant will allow us to recruit a committed group of tutors and career counselors as staff that students can depend on and gain guidance from the funds will also allow us to run background checks for all those involved with the youth through our free stem tutoring program ensuring their protection and the value of each student’s potential progress.

02:10  we would also be able to hire professionals to recruit train and manage our tutors’ volunteers and career counselors ensuring that each member is prepared and is effectively able to provide aid to students in need as well as further develop and enhance our curriculum in technical education for ai ethics data science and computer programming.

02:30  we are excited about this opportunity and are looking forward to making a positive impact on our society help us support 5 million students in the next 5 years break barriers of entry in tech and build a more equitable society, thank you.
