Since 2015, Google has provided help for millions looking to start or develop their career or business further.

Google Grow aims to “accelerate economic recovery through technology, tools and training; so that local businesses, communities and people can grow stronger, faster and more resilient.”   

Google Grow works in partnership with well-known organizations such as Coursera, UNWTO, The Open University, and many others, and DataEthics4All are very excited to have joined that list!

Digital skills are fundamental in navigating our world today, which is becoming increasingly internet-driven, so the courses, programs and resources provided by Google Grow are an amazing opportunity to evolve the work DataEthics4All is doing to break barriers of entry in Tech and build the digital skills our Ethics 1st champions will need for the future.

Google grow offers businesses and those looking to begin or improve their career prospects the opportunity to advance their knowledge of digital skills so that they too can succeed in our constantly developing digital world.

For those looking to develop their careers further, Google Grow offers help and guidance finding a new role, opportunities to learn new skills and also a range of professional certificates developed by Google to help those wanting to enter fields as diverse as IT Support, UX Design, Data Analytics, and Project Management.

These programs require no prior experience, only the ability to work at your own pace, and they serve as a great addition to your CV. There are also a range of courses on offer with Google Grow which are free of charge!

The aim of these programs is to build a professional repertoire and develop useful skills in order to meet customer needs and aid in the process of adapting to technological change.

Google Grow is also focusing on the knowledge gap in Sub-Saharan Africa where Google has found that jobseekers’ digital skills do not meet the required level to keep up with their fast-developing technological ecosystem.

In order to help with this, Google Grow is providing 5,500 scholarships across Sub-Saharan Africa which are rewarded with knowledge in important digital fields and a Google Career Certificate. 

Google Grow has already had a massive positive impact on Africa’s economy with 420,000+ people having started a new business, 422,000+ businesses having taken on more staff, and 1,500,000+ people who have managed to find a new job or develop their career as of 2016.

We are proud to become one of Google Grow’s Partnering Organizations that too will be able to make a positive global impact with such programs.

We are looking forward to collaborating with Google Grow in this area, and extending the benefits of Google Grow programs, Certifications and Scholarships to our community.
